HOUSTON EYELASH LIFTING AND BROW LAMINATION

EYELASH LIFTING

If you already have naturally long and straight eyelashes, a lash lift is the perfect way to enhance your look so you are taking advantage of those lashes and making them as beautiful as possible - without using a mechanical lash curler every day! Chic Lash Boutique has been offering lash lifts in Houston since 2012, providing our clients with a first class experience that sends them home with healthy, curly lashes that provide a full and rich look.

So what exactly is a lash lift? Essentially, it's a perm for your eyelashes, except our artists use silicon lash pads to create a flawless curl. While this doesn't make your eyelashes any thicker, it creates somewhat of an illusion that they are in doing so.

Lash lifts are performed with non-harmful chemicals that break down the bonds in your lashes. On the backdrop of a silicon pad, salon-grade glue is then used to create a new look, providing rich curls that are set in place with a lifting lotion, a setting lotion, and a nourishing agent. In total, the process takes about an hour, and for the next day, you should avoid getting any moisture on them.

Lash lifting can last anywhere from one to three months depending on the state of your natural lashes. This service does not include lash tinting, which must be booked separately. If you are looking into this service for the first time, we highly advise sitting down with one of our skilled Houston lash lift artists, who can walk you through what your options are based on your lash conditions and your desired look.

Disclaimer: Not all hair types are created equal, some hair types, due to genetic nature of the hair molecules, require up to 2 sessions to complete lash lift. Second, corrective lash lift session may be booked within 24 hours of first session and up to first week after first initial. Pricing for 2nd corrective session is 50% of initial. Not all people are good candidates for a lash lift.

BROW LAMINATION

Brow Lamination is a great solution for eyebrows that do not have symmetry or unruly/wild eyebrow hairs. Brow Lamination will realign the brows to give them the desired shape you want or a "fluffy", fuller look. Just brush them into place each morning and you're good to go!

This treatment solves the messy brow issue, creates volume and fullness and gives you a sleek, well-kept brow shape for 2-6 weeks. We recommend booking a brow threading at the same time.

Brow lamination includes tinting.

HOW WE DO IT - LASH LIFTING

img

Consultation

Prior to getting started, your artist will walk you through the service. You will be asked questions regarding the desired look of your lashes, whether you want them curled back or simply lifted. Your artist will also review your skincare routine and walk you through how to best care for your lash lift. During this time, it is important to indicate if you are allergic to any products that may be used during your service.

Eye pad & Eyelash placement (15 mins)

Once your consultation is complete, your artist will place down under eye gel pads to absorb any product. Once the pads are down, your artist will begin to glue down the selected silicon eyepads to your upper eyelids. This silicone eyepad is selected based on the desired curl of your lashes. Your artist will determine which size and type of silicon eyepad to use based off your consultation and length of natural lashes. Once all eyepads are in place, your artist will begin glueing back your natural lashes with a gentle glue. This process is key as the direction and precision in which your lashes are glued will determine the overall look.

Step 1: Lash Lift/Perm Lotion (5-15 mins)

During this step, your artist will begin placing a perming/lifting solution on your lashes in the direction they are glued. This lotion will break down current bonds in order to re-shape your lashes.

Step 2: Setting Lotion (5-15 mins)

Prior to this step, your artist will gently remove the lash lift lotion in the direction the lashes are glued. Once the lash lift lotion is removed, your artist will place the setting lotion on. The setting lotion will lock the new shape in by securing the structural bonds in your hair.

Step 3: Nourishing Agent (5-15 mins)

Your artist will remove the setting lotion and begin to clean off all excess with a nourishing agent. The nourishing agent adds in nutrients to help strengthen and moisturize your processed lashes.

Optional: Lash Tint / Lash Botox

Prior to removal of eyepads, if you are adding on a lash tint or lash botox, this would be the time to do so. Lash tinting will darken lashes and lash botox is added for those with overly processed, weak, or weakened lashes looking for extra nutrients for healthy lashes.

Keratin Lash Botox

Take your lash lifting to thicker and more dramatic results with the use of Keratin Botox Serum. This hydrolyzed keratin mask strengthens and nourishes natural lashes with the Magic formula of Vitamin E, Argan Oil, Jojoba Oil, Keratin, Panthenol &. Macadamia Oil. The nourishing mask fills the natural lash with keratin making your natural lashes thicker, fuller and longer. They will appear longer and curled without any risk of damage from the lifting solution. Eyelashes will actually become stronger from this added treatment during your lash lifts.

Eyelash hair consists 96% of Keratin. Keratin Lash Botox consists mostly of hydrolyzed keratin (decreased into such small particles so it has access to the thinnest lashes) and collagen- which is a natural nourisher.

Organic Lash Botox

Organic Lash Botox is the most advanced lash repair and nourishing formula worldwide. The treatment repairs the damaged or broken eyelash fibers with a powerful concentrate of active ingredients including Nigella Sativa Oil, Organic Simmondsia Chinensis Oil, Camelina Sativa Seed Oil, Hydrolyzed Silk Peptides which guarantee to moisturize, replenish, repair and revive lashes right from the very first use, adding incredible shine, softness and eliminating dryness.

Final Touches (5 mins)

Your artist will begin to remove all product and eyepads. Saline is occasionally used to remove product and glue off the eyelids. Saline is not use on lashes during this time to allow for the 8 - 24 hr cure time needed after a lash lift. After removal of product and eyepads, your artist will brush through your lashes, allow you to view the outcome, and discuss aftercare with you.

How Long Will My Lash Lift Last?

It depends on your lash cycle. We can lose anywhere from 1-4 lashes per day. Each individual's eyelash is genetically programmed to reach a max length, fall out, and re-grow again. Your lash lift can naturally fall out with your lash cycle or start to lose curl on its own due to external conditions as well as genetics. Most lash lifts last about a month but can last up to 6-8 weeks.

Review of Growth Cycle

Anagen (Growing Phase): During this phase the lashes are actively growing. This cycle can last between 30-45 days. Only about 40% of the upper lashes and 15% of the lower lashes will be in Anagen at any point in time.

Catagen (Transition Phase): During this phase, the lash stops growing and the hair follicle shrinks. If an eyelash falls out or is prematurely plucked out, the catagen phase must still be completed prior to the next phase. Catagen can lasts between two and three weeks.

Telogen (Resting Phase): This phase can last about 100 days before fall out and a new cycle begins. Because each individual lash is in its own phase of the growing cycle, it's normal for a few lashes to fall out most days. It typically takes between four and eight weeks to fully replace an eyelash.

NOTE: Most lash lift clients come back after 4 weeks to retain a consistent lash lift look. As all individuals are different, so is our genetic makeup. Some client's hairs are easier to manipulate than others. This means not all clients lashes will take to the first lash lift, therefore a secondary lash lift is required to complete the service. If a secondary lash lift is required, a fee of 50% of the original cost will be assessed for the secondary service.
