Is microblading safe? Yes, with a trained and qualified artist, microblading is completely safe. It is important to review and interview your artist. Review their work, work quality, and quiz them. New and sterile implements/needles are used for each service, thereby eliminating any chance of disease contamination. Each stroke is done where there are no hair follicles and no hair, therefore your current hair follicles remain intact and the bald areas are simply filled in. The ink used is a high-quality vegan ink that is meant to fade with time. Because it is a natural vegan ink, there are no heavy metals which could cause a reaction. The ink is easily absorbed and processed by your body – this is the reason as to why microblading fades opposed to a permanent tattoo. An artist should be trained by a verified, certifiable brand/company. Great artists seek training regularly to stay up to date on education and trends of the industry. Most great artists usually keep in touch with other highly-trained artists around the globe to bounce questions and ideas off. Since microblading is an art form as well, there are times the artist will encounter skin types or a client on multiple prescription drugs that they are not familiar with; great artists will bring this to the attention of a professional within that field, such as a physician, pharmacist or another tattoo artist that has extensive experience and has encountered these anomalies. While microblading does fade in time, microblading is safe given the right artist. Usually, a highly-trained artist with a network of highly-trained peers is more expensive than the average. But what you’re paying for is not only quality but peace of mind that the facility, staff, and your artist are more than equipped to handle all eyebrow types. Quality blades, pigments, sanitation/sterilization, and artists are worth the few extra dollars when it comes to your health and face.
